Hoover Tyler Little League

Welcome to HTLL's 70th Season!

Hoover Tyler Little League will be accepting 2021 registrations January 23 for T-Ball, Minor B, Minor A, Majors, and Intermediate divisions.  We are planning as though our 70th season will be a standard season although we are also ready to modify our plans to meet the uncertainties around the public health situation.  In 2021, HTLL is committed to offering some form of baseball activity for our league families, games or no games.  Our slogan for 2021 is: Baseball - No Matter What!

Registration Procedure

Part 1 - Register your player(s) online

  1. Login or create a new account on this site.
  2. Complete the registration process for each player and pay registration fee.

Part 2 - Complete the Medical Information form

  1. Download the form.
  2. Fill out and email or send a clear photo to [email protected].

Note: Your child cannot be placed onto a team without a completed Medical Information form on file with HTLL.

Part 3 - Submit residency and birth certificate (may not apply to all players)

Residency: Your player must live within HTLL boundaries or attend a school that's within the boundaries in order to play for HTLL.  Establish player's residency  using 3 residency documents OR a completed school enrollment form (this is preferred).
  • New players who attend a school within HTLL boundaries should complete the school enrollment form if possible. This season, schools are limited to:
    • Brookside
    • Claudia Landeen
    • Commodore Skills
    • Don Riggio
    • Hoover
  • Returning players who used a school enrollment form last season do not need to complete this part!
    • John McCandless families: contact [email protected] for information about playing in HTLL in 2021.
  • New and returning players who do not attend a school with HTLL boundaries must submit 3 residency documents.
  • Email all documents to [email protected] (scan as PDF or send a clear photo)

If your player does not attend a school in HTLL boundaries, gather 3 residency documents based on the following table. This applies to new and returning players who are not using the school form.

Quick 1-2-3: #1 - Parent or guardian driver's license showing player's address + #2 - Parent/guardian's Stockton/CalWater water bill showing player's address + #3 - Parent/guardian's PG&E bill showing player's address. Done!

Season Information FAQ

What divisions are being offered in 2021?

  • T-Ball (League Age 4-6)
  • Minor B (League Age 6-9)
  • Minor A (League Age 7-11)
  • Majors (League Age 9-12)
  • Intermediates (League Age 13)

Unfortunately, Juniors is not being offered in 2021 because no fields are currently available for that level.  We hope to offer Juniors again in 2022.

What will the playing experience be?
Current CA regulations state that once San Joaquin County reaches the Red Tier, games will be allowed (no spectators until later Tiers).  County regulations currently allow HTLL to offer practices regardless of county Tier color.

Will there be tryouts and a draft for Minor A and Majors?
Yes, tryouts ('skills assessments') and a draft are expected to occur as in previous years.  All the kids have aged one year and it's not possible to simply 'rollover' the Minor A team rosters into 2021.  Returning Majors players are anticipated to remain on the team they were drafted to in 2020.

Can parents watch practices?
Unfortunately, not at this time.  As was the case in the summer, only players and coaches will be allowed inside the HTLL complex for practices.  The Board is continually monitoring the guidelines and regulations put out by state and local public health offices and will make what adjustments are allowed.

How many weeks will the season be? What if the county is not in the Red Tier by then?
Opening Day is planned for April 17 followed by 7-8 weeks of games.  The board will adjust the season plan as necessary to meet the current public health situation.  We will always be able to offer practices. Remember: Baseball - No Matter What.
